A New Year, A New Tradition


In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “New.”

In Japan there is a  tradition called Hatsumode – the first shrine visit of the year.

Here is Tokyo’s Meiji Shrine bustling with Hatsumode veterans and newbies alike, all wishing for good fortune throughout the next year.DSC_0958 (2)Happy New Year’s Everybody! I hope it’s already gotten to a good start.
